My son demonstrated one his new inventions to me, a "hand washing system" made with straw, duct tape, and a handy built-in snack tray. My first reaction was "wow, that's dripping a lot of water on my counter". But after I looked past the water damage, I had to admire his creativity and divergent thinking. I really strive to take this same kind of approach in the workplace, as I listen to users, brainstorm ideas, discover the unexpected, and find new ways of doing things. I have a wide variety of experiences from creating an exhibition in French to helping to create University of Phoenix's next generation learning platform for students and faculty. I love new design challenges, especially those that transform and improve the lives of others.
When I am not designing, I enjoy spending time with my wife and 4 boys, practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and reading books on theology.
